Ear Lobe Repair

Such problems are usually caused by trauma to the lobe, excessive weight from heavy earrings, or a piercing in an improper position.

Fortunately, these problems can be simply and effectively repaired by Dr. Greco in about an hour’s time using a local anesthetic.

There is almost no discomfort after an earlobe repair and no time is required out of work or school. If you experience a small amount of drainage from the wound, apply a little antibiotic ointment.

How long is recovery and how soon after surgery can I wear earrings?

Dr. Greco will remove any sutures 1 – 2 weeks after the procedure. Wait three months or until your scar is soft before re-piercing your ear lobe.
