Ear Lobe Repair
Split or torn earlobes are some of the most common ear repair problems. Such problems are usually caused by trauma to the lobe, excessive weight from heavy earrings, or a piercing in an improper position.
Fortunately, these problems can be simply and effectively repaired by Dr. Greco in about an hour’s time using a local anesthetic.
There is almost no discomfort after an earlobe repair and no time is required out of work or school. If you experience a small amount of drainage from the wound, apply a little antibiotic ointment.
How long is recovery and how soon after surgery can I wear earrings?
Dr. Greco will remove any sutures 1 – 2 weeks after the procedure. Wait three months or until your scar is soft before re-piercing your ear lobe.
